Proctoring
What is Proctoring?
Some courses may require proctoring for exams. This means students must come to campus and complete tests in proctoring lab. Proctoring is available at the four locations. Review the list below for details.
Student Self-Registration for Proctored Exams
Beginning summer 2015, we are implementing a new self-registration system for our proctoring services. If you have a class that requires test proctoring, you can now log into the HUB/IRIS and schedule your own appointments at any of Lake Land's proctoring centers. You also have the ability to view your previous testing information (history). In the Hub in the left navigation click Students under My IRIS. In the student menu click Proctor Test Scheduler.
Schedule your appointments early to insure the time you prefer is available. You must have a photo ID when you take your test. If you need assistance with the new system, please call (217) 234-5439.

Alternate Proctoring Locations
Students wishing to take tests at a site other than one of the locations listed above must have an approved proctor administer all exams. It is the responsibility of the student to secure an acceptable proctor and ensure that a Student-Proctor Agreement form is completed and submitted to the LLC Center for Technology and Professional Development. The student must pay all expenses associated with proctoring exams. Expenses may include envelopes and postage for returning tests or any special proctor fees. Please visit the proctoring page Links to an external site. and download the proctoring form for more information.
Tips on Scheduling Appointments
- Review your instructor's syllabus to see if proctoring is required.
- DO NOT wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment! Review due dates in the course often so you can schedule your appointment early.
- If you live out of district, locate a suitable proctoring location in your area early in the semester. Be sure your instructor has the proctor contact information so the proctor can be verified by your instructor and you can schedule your appointment. Review the information in section above for more details.
- Be sure to have a valid picture ID with you when you come to take your exam.
