Have a "home base"for students

where will the students begin and end class

this will enable you to organize students and materials more effectively when there will be student movement during the class or lesson

assigned or home base seats also allow you to check attendance without “calling the roll”

Don't waste time calling names

List names by color on the projector indicates where the colors or groups should report.

Create Canvas Groups

Form flexible groups based on instructional need with specific instructional strategies in mind

Keep group size small (5-6 maximum)

Consider behaviors, attitudes and work ethics of each student
