Google Files
If you use Google Drive you DO NOT upload any files into Canvas, in fact if you can embed your Google files so that any changes that are made in Google will be reflected in Canvas WITHOUT you doing anything.
There are 3 ways to link/upload Google Files in Canvas.
PDF Links to an external site. Example of a Google Doc Links to an external site. To access these documents you will have to login to your Forney edu account. This folder is set to anyone in Forney ISD can view
2. A link to a "Publish on the Web" Google document. Click File. Publish to the Web. Click Publish and OK. Copy the Link. Create a hyperlink to a Google Doc using the chain link icon in the Rich Text Editor.

3. An embedded Google Doc from the "Publish on the Web" Google document. Click File. Publish to the Web. Click Publish and OK. Click Embed. Copy the HTML embed code. Go to the Canvas page where you want the embedded Google Doc. Click the HTML editor (upper right corner of edit box). Paste the embed code. Click the Rich Text editor (upper right corner of edit box). Adjust the size of the blue box.
